Recording your mixes with DJ Mixer Pro
- Record your mix by tapping the red Record button on the bottom of the mixer screen
- Tap the Record button again to stop the recording
Your recording is saved in a WAVE audio file on your mobile device and you can copy the file to your Mac or PC using iTunes or import the recording to DJ Mixer.
Transferring recorded mixes to your computer
- Connect your mobile device to your PC or Mac computer and open iTunes
- In iTunes, click the device icon on the left
- Click Apps in the top menu
- Scroll down to reveal File Sharing and click on the DJ Mixer Pro app icon
- Click your desired mix recording in the list and click Save To… on bottom right side of the files list
Uploading recorded mixes to other apps
DJ Mixer now supports the export of recorded mixes to other applications that can play or share WAVE files. Some notable apps that support DJ Mixer WAVE files are Dropbox and VLC player.
Dropbox
How to upload recorded mixes to Dropbox:
- Download and install the Dropbox app.
- Sign up for an account or sign in to your account.
- Open DJ Mixer.
- Go to the Mixer.
- Load two tracks and record a mix (the record button is in the bottom right).
- When you are done recording, tap the record button again and press ‘Yes’ when prompted.
- Select the Open in… option.
- Select Open in Dropbox.
NOTE: Please allow up to 1 minute for iOS to open the Dropbox app. - You will be taken to Dropbox.
- Name the file and choose a desired destination.
Other Apps
How to upload recorded mixes to other apps that support WAVE files:
- Open DJ Mixer.
- Go to the Mixer.
- Load two tracks and record a mix (the record button is in the bottom right).
- When you are done recording, tap the record button again and press ‘Yes’ when prompted.
- Select the Open in… option.
- Select the desired app to open your file in.

Playing your recorded mixes in DJ Mixer Pro
- Go to Add own Music from the Main Menu (iPad) or Music Library (iPhone/iPod Touch)
- Tap Shared in iTunes
- Tap Add Shared Files
Your recorded mixes will be added to your DJ Mixer Music Library and you can load them to the mixer and mix them with other tracks.
When I make a recording I can’t find the audio file in the ipad 2 why?
You need to connect your iPad to your computer and fallow these steps
In order to retrieve audio files from DJ Mixer you will have to use the iTunes File Sharing feature.
Follow the next few steps in order to locate the files and copy them:
1. Connect your device to your computer.
2. Launch iTunes.
3. Select your iOS device from the devices section of iTunes.
4. Click the App’s tab and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
5. Under File Sharing section, you’ll find a list of Apps.
6. Select DJ Mixer.
7. Select the recorded mix
8. Click Save As…to save your mix
