DJ Mixer 1.5 – it is all about the EQ

DJ Mixer 1.6 is coming soon to the App Store. The main feature in this release is a brand new real-time equalizer, just as the one you can find on these $500 physical DJ mixers. This EQ was one of our top requested feature by DJ Mixer users.
The Equalizer have 3 bands. You access the EQ of a channel by touching the new EQ button on the bottom right of the mixer panel.

You can now control the low, mid and high range volume levels per channel in real time with zero latency. We are happy to announce that this works great on iPhone devices. Here’s a screen shot of the new EQ panel, available in the mixer:

You can boost or reduce the bass independently of the equalizer. The equalizer lets you quickly control the volume of the low, mid and high range sounds of your music. Just double tap on an EQ lever to set it to 0 db (normal value), you can reduce, kill or enhance the volume of each of the 3 frequencies just by touching the lever. There is zero latency involved in setting these values and you can create really cool audio effects by moving the different levers up and down with a touch of your finger.

Controlling the EQ per channel gives you more creative possibilites when mixing music. For example, you can mix-in a track without the bass sounds over a track that has a strong bass line and gradually introduce the bass sounds of the new track as you beat match the track into your mix.

We hope you are going to enjoy this new feature. DJ Mixer 1.6 is going to be a free upgrade to all current versions of DJ Mixer in the App store (lite and Pro). Keep these new feature requests coming. We are now looking into adding support for multiple playlists and filtering a playlist by artist or track name.
